CARF aims to mobilize state and non-state actors in Africa to eradicate human trafficking for prostitution and labour exploitation which is fast becoming the continents leading export commodity reminiscent of the slave trade era. As drought, famine, wars, corruption and diseases ravage the continent, more and more nations are becoming failed states and as always, women and children are the victims as parents sell their children to traffickers for a peanut.

We aim to reduce the vulnerability of potential victims and the demand for exploitation through our robust advocacy within the European Union and to provide protection and practical support through counseling, spiritual and emotional healing, provision of safe houses and micro projects for victims already in the EU.

Increase knowledge and awareness on human trafficking within the vulnerable communities and training peer group trainers who will become foot soldiers in our Awareness and Knowledge campaign. Addressing the root cause of the trafficking through targeted micro projects for parents and potential victims.

OUR OBJECTIVES

FACT: Ghana is the transiting hub for West African Human traffickers.

• In Cooperation with vulnerable communities in Ghana, we will develop practical tools to combat, prevent and protect potential victims from being trafficked in the first place.

• Knowledge and awareness campaign.

• To research communities where vulnerable and potential victims are recruited with a view to understanding all factors leading to human trafficking.

• To provide expertise and Knowledge to stakeholders in the West, especially, Government institutions dealing with trafficked victims, about the cultural and spiritual dimensions of trafficking from Africa especially, the use of voodoo and other cultural ritual on the victims. • To provide rehabilitation centers for victims in Netherlands in our existing mission houses.

• Advocacy campaign in Netherlands and within the European Union.

• To Provide Victims assistance through Legal aid, Spiritual and Emotional counseling for victim in Netherlands and other EU countries.

• To establish a multi-faceted educational center which will offer potential victims training in various fields that will equip them for self-empowerment.

• To provide accommodation, counseling and vocational training to victims who are repatriated to Ghana from Various West African Countries.

• To use our popular videos and other materials in our school projects in Ghana to educate potential victims about the real dangers faced by those trafficked to the Netherlands and other EU countries.

• A major part of our school curriculum in Ghana will be the study in Human Trafficking from Africa to Europe.

• We will use our material in our research project on HIV.AIDS and victims of human trafficking from sub Saharan African prostitutes working in The Netherlands.
